　　廣佑寺大佛，是目前世界殿內佛身最高、體積最大的木質釋迦牟尼佛坐像，其總高21.48米，“21”寓意為二十一世紀，“48”寓意為佛祖四月初八誕生紀念日。佛像須彌座高4.48米，雕有《法界源流圖〉》和《釋加如來應化事跡》。佛身高17米，頭上螺旋發髻325個，僅面部就過28平方米，垂耳長達3米，張開的手掌可站8人，微微彎曲的手指其長度相當于一個成人身高的大小。釋迦牟尼佛結跏趺座，坐于反復蓮花座之上，其造型古樸、凝重、祥和、莊嚴。右手抬舉輕拈金婆羅花，以示正法眼藏，涅般妙心，遂得普播環宇；左手結與頭印，以示佛陀的慈悲恩德遍布法界。

　　佛像通體貼金，其設計方案遵循大乘佛教《造佛度量經》標準。佛像由浙江寧波宏托精雕工藝廠承制，采用傳統的“木雕漆金朱金”工藝，選用優質香樟、野生寧麻、原始生漆、陳年瓦粉等天然材料和24K足金，經過雕塑、自然干燥、保香、夾寧、上灰、水磨、貼金等48道工藝精制而成，共需香樟木600立方米，黃金24000克。其精湛的工藝、完美的造型，必將以其震撼人心的感染力，成為中華民族乃至世界文化長廊中的瑰寶。

　　寺廟風景區1985年被遼寧省政府批準為宗教活動場所，這里是融宗教與旅游為一體的著名風景區，自然風光與人文景觀交相輝映，“八景十二奇觀”蔚為壯麗。寺廟有上、中，下三院。進了由趙樸初親筆題字“寺廟”的山門，踏上石鋪甬道，來到群峰環抱的山腳下，就是寺廟下院。下院寺門上書“天開靜域”，寺院建有大雄寶殿、天王殿、配殿、禪堂等。大雄寶殿內供奉釋迦牟尼、南海大士等佛像姿態各異，栩栩如生。整個寺院富麗堂皇，氣勢壯觀。

　　關外多山，以閭山居首；閭山多寺，以寺廟為奇。寺廟位于遼寧省北鎮市常興店鎮西部之閭山深處，其建筑位置險要，結構布局奇特。更與層巒翠嶂，古木幽林掩映成趣，成為閭山的著名旅游勝地之一。其后，明朝萬歷四年，清朝光緒十六年都曾重修。
